Bloodborne Pathogens (Nurses, CCM, CRC, and WC CA approved) – 1.5 CE/Contact Hours

Course Objectives

By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:

• Identify the most common modes of transmission for bloodborne pathogens (BBP).
• Describe the best practices for safe handling of BBP in the workplace.
• Recognize what to do if you have contact with a possible contaminant.
• Recall the BBP incident reporting requirements.

Continuing Education Credits

This course is based on federal OSHA standards and is considered advanced for technical content and learning interactions. This course is approved for 1.5 CE/Contact Hours for the following professions:

• Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states)
• Certified Case Managers (CCM)
• Certified Rehabilitation Counselors (CRC)
• CA Workers Compensation Claims Adjusters (WC CA)

Course Details

To receive 1.5 contact hours of continuing education credit, learners must pass the final quiz with 80% or more; the final quiz may be re-taken as often as needed.
