DESCRIPTION
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Recognize the demographic groups and occupations most at risk for burn injuries.
- Describe common burns and their causes.
- Explain the occupational impacts of burn injuries on both employees and employers.
- Recognize psychological, emotional, and social impacts of burns.
- Identify strategies to support burn recovery and workplace reintegration.
Continuing Education Credits
This course is approved for 1.0 CE/Contact Hour for the following professions:
- Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states)
- California Workers Compensation Claims Adjusters (WC CA)
Course Details
To receive 1.0 contact hour of continuing education credit, learners must pass the final quiz with 80% or more; the final quiz may be re-taken as often as needed.
