Course Objectives

By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:

  • Define combative behavior in the context of caring for persons with dementia.
  • Implement the “5 Whys” to understand the reason for the combative behavior in persons with dementia.
  • Identify at least three intervention strategies effective at minimizing, managing, and preventing combative behavior in persons with dementia.

Course Details

This course is intended to contribute to caregiver and staff training. Participants must pass the final quiz with 80% or more and may re-take the quiz as often as needed.
