Course Objectives

By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:

  • Identify the signs and symptoms of common mental health disorders encountered in non-psychiatric settings.
  • Describe how common mental health disorders manifest in various settings outside of psychiatric care.
  • Discuss the importance of maintaining professional boundaries and self-care strategies for healthcare providers managing mental health disorders.

  • Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states)
  • Certified Case Managers (CCM)
  • Certified Rehabilitation Counselors (CRC)

Course Details

To receive 3.0 contact hours of continuing education credit, learners must pass the final quiz with 80% or more; the final quiz may be re-taken as often as needed.
