By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:

  • Explain the purpose and role of the American Nurses Association (ANA)
  • Explain the history of the development of the Code of Ethics for Nurses
  • Identify the ten provisions of the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses
  • Apply ethical standards to case studies effectively
  • Recognize the correlation in nursing ethics and the Code of Professional Conduct for Case Managers.

Course is approved for 3.0 CE/Contact Hours to the following professions:

  • Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states)
    • Critical Care RN (CCRN): meets the criteria for CCRN Synergy Continuing Education Recognition Point(s) (CERPS) in Category B
  • Certified Case Managers (CCM)

This course is also approved for ethics credits for Nurses and CCM.  Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed. Course will be updated or discontinued on or before July 31, 2027.
