DESCRIPTION
This is an advanced course on the types of hepatitis and is appropriate for anyone interested in enhancing their education and knowledge of this subject matter.
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Describe the biology and epidemiology of hepatitis.
- Define the viral and non-viral causes of hepatitis.
- Identify the symptoms and diagnoses of hepatitis.
- Recognize treatment options for hepatitis.
- Implement methods to prevent hepatitis transmission.
Continuing Education Credits
This course is approved for 4.0 CE/Contact Hours for the following professions:
- Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states)
- Advanced Practice RN (APRN): This course includes 0.5 pharmacotherapeutic contact hours
- Certified Case Managers (CCM)
- Certified Rehabilitation Counselors (CRC)
- Social Workers (NASW)
- CA Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjusters (WC CA)
Course Details
To receive 4.0 contact hours of continuing education credit, learners must pass the final quiz with 80% or more; the final quiz may be re-taken as often as needed.
