This is an advanced course on pain management.

Course Objectives

By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:

  • Identify the three dimensions of pain and the difference between acute and chronic pain.
  • Recognize the various pain measurement tools commonly used for a specific patient population.
  • Describe the key elements of using pain assessment as an outcome measure.
  • Explain factors that may contribute to pain and how clinicians may utilize the LEARN model to improve on pain assessment and intervention.
