Course Objectives

By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:

  • List the nine most common food allergies in the United States.
  • Recognize the general signs and symptoms associated with peanut allergy.
  • Identify management options for children and adults with peanut allergy, including dietary avoidance techniques and treatment of anaphylaxis.
  • Discuss strategies for living with peanut allergy.

  • Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states)
    • Advanced Practice RN (APRN): This course includes 0.75 pharmacotherapeutic contact hours.
