DESCRIPTION
By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
- Outline techniques to build rapport with patients prior and during a physical assessment
- State elements of Therapeutic Communication that enhance the assessment process
- Discuss the need to address special considerations in physical assessment, including cultural sensitivity, the impact of the aging process, and communication barriers
- Describe the significance and key components of a health and family history, lifestyle and health practices, and present illness during a patient interview
- Describe physical examination techniques for the musculoskeletal system, including inspection, palpation, and manipulation
Course is approved for 3.0 CE/Contact Hours for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) in Florida.
Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed.
