DESCRIPTION
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Explain the definition of a private duty aide.
- Explain regulatory requirements related to private duty aides in residential facilities and documentation needed to demonstrate compliance.
- Describe differences between private duty aides & volunteers, and the distinction between private duty aides who are Certified Nurse Assistants or Certified Health Aides.
- List various risks and benefits associated with the utilization of private duty aides.
Continuing Education Credits
This course is approved for 2.0 CE/Contact Hours for the following professions:
- Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states)
Course Details
To receive 2.0 contact hours of continuing education credit, learners must pass the final quiz with 80% or more; the final quiz may be re-taken as often as needed.
