DESCRIPTION
This course provides an advanced overview of sexual dysfunction applicable to healthcare, social services, and insurance professionals managing cases involving persons experiencing sexual dysfunctions.
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Define sexual dysfunction.
- Identify the normal phases of the sexual response cycle.
- Review clinician assessment of sexual dysfunction.
- Describe the classifications of male and female sexual dysfunction.
- Describe the effect of select traumatic injuries on sexual function.
- Identify treatment options for sexual dysfunction.
Continuing Education Credits
This course is approved for 2.5 CE/Contact Hours for the following professions:
- Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states)
- Advanced Practice RN (APRN): This course includes 0.5 pharmacotherapeutic contact hours
- Critical Care RN (CCRN): meets the criteria for CCRN Synergy Continuing Education Recognition Point(s) (CERPS) in Category A
- Certified Case Managers (CCM)
- Certified Rehabilitation Counselors (CRC)
- Social Workers (NASW)
- CA Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjusters (WC CA)
Course Details
To receive 2.5 contact hours of continuing education credit, learners must pass the final quiz with 80% or more; the final quiz may be re-taken as often as needed.
