DESCRIPTION
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Describe why effective communication is crucial in telehealth.
- Identify the various communication channels used in telehealth, the strengths and limitations of each channel, and the appropriate use of each one.
- Recognize the essential skills needed for effective telehealth communication, engaging and motivating clients, and identifying barriers.
- Review safe practices and legal considerations in telehealth communication.
Continuing Education Credits
This course is approved for 4.0 CE/Contact Hours for the following professions:
- Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states)
- Certified Case Managers (CCM)
- Certified Rehabilitation Counselors (CRC)
- Social Workers (NASW)
- CA Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjusters (WC CA)
Course Details
To receive 4.0 contact hours of continuing education credit, learners must pass the final quiz with 80% or more; the final quiz may be re-taken as often as needed.
