Description
By the end of this course, the learner will be able to: Define implicit bias and the differences between implicit and explicit bias; distinguish the difference between System 1 and System 2 thinking; evaluate the origin of implicit bias, historically and within oneself; analyze stereotypes and stigmas, and implicit biases in healthcare; and discuss some measurement tools in evaluating implicit biases in healthcare.
This course is intended to contribute to caregiver and/or staff training in the categories of Cultural Competency, Psychosocial Needs of the Elderly, and Resident Rights. Learners must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed.
