This course provides an advanced overview of Alzheimer’s and strategies to help families cope with an Alzheimer’s diagnosis. Learners will will be able to: List three barriers to getting a diagnosis; Identify at least three strategies professionals can use to help families cope with an Alzheimer’s diagnosis; Discuss the importance of connecting families to Alzheimer’s specific supportive and educational programs and services. This course is approved for 1.0 CEU/hr for CA Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) Administrators and Registered Nurses (all states). Participants must pass final quiz with a score of 80% or more and may re-take the quiz as often as needed to pass. Course will be updated or discontinued on or before February 18, 2024.
