Description
By the end of this course, learners will be able to: 1) define Intimate Partner Violence and the different forms of intimate partner violence, 2) identify the four basic risk factors, based on the social-ecological model, for increased likelihood of intimate partner violence 3) identify some of the early warning signs of intimate partner violence in initial clinical presentation 4) describe tools and strategies for screening patients for possible intimate partner violence 5) recognize the responsibilities and ethical considerations for mandated reporters related to assessment, documentation and reporting of suspected intimate partner violence 6) identify some of the barriers to addressing intimate partner violence and 7) recognize other consequences associated with intimate partner violence. Course is approved for 4.5 CE/cContact Hours for Certified Nursing Assistants in Florida. Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may retake as often as needed. Course will be updated or discontinued on or before July 31, 2023.
