Description
By the end of this course, the learner will be able to: identify legislative trends in medical error reporting requirements; identify the relationship between federal and state error reporting laws; discuss the legal implications of mandatory medical error reporting; recite three or more publicly reported quality measures; define the relationship between error reporting, quality measures, and healthcare reimbursement; and recall trends, methods, and outcomes of full medical error disclosure.
This course is approved for 2.0 CE/Contact Hours to the following professions:
- Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states)
- Certified Case Managers (CCM)
- Certified Rehab Counselors (CRC)
- Social Workers (NASW)
- California Workers’ Comp Claims Adjusters (WC CA)
Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed. The course will be updated or discontinued on or before July 31, 2027.
