By the end of this course, the learner will be able to:

  • Identify legislative trends in medical error reporting requirements
  • Identify the relationship between federal and state error reporting laws
  • Discuss the legal implications of mandatory medical error reporting
  • Recite three or more publicly reported quality measures
  • Define the relationship between error reporting, quality measures, and healthcare reimbursement
  • Recall trends, methods, and outcomes of full medical error disclosure.

Course is approved for 2.0 CE/Contact Hour for Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA) in California. Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed.
