Description
By the end of this course, learners will be able to: define autonomy; explain why resident autonomy is important in an RCFE; describe the role of Resident Rights in promoting resident autonomy and maintaining compliance with laws and regulations related to safety; identify ways to provide an autonomous environment for residents while adhering to laws and regulations related to safety; describe how Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and the relationship of each to Quality of Life in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly. This course is approved for 1.0 CEU/hr for California RCFE Administrators and California Nurses (CA BRN). Learners must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed.
This course is approved for Laws and Regulations under the following Core of Knowledge: Laws, Regulations, Policies, and Procedural Standards Impacting RCFE.
