Understanding Child Abuse and Reporting for Healthcare Professionals – 2.5 CE/Contact Hours

This course provides an advanced overview of child abuse and reporting requirements for healthcare professionals . Learners will will be able to:  Define types of child abuse; Explain the physiological and psychological response to trauma; Recognize physical and emotional signs of abuse; Discuss the nursing implications and reporting requirement when caring for a child who is a victim of abuse.

Course is approved for 2.5 CE/Contact Hours for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) in Florida. Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed. Course will be updated or discontinued on or before July 31, 2023.
