Description
This course provides an advanced overview of advance care planning. By the end of this course, learners will be able to: identify and describe the potential barriers for people in planning for their future in both matters of personal assets and healthcare decision making; identify communication techniques to help facilitate future care planning discussions with patients and their family members; and define the purpose and process for executing advance directives and identify the resources and tools available to assist patients in facilitating this process. Approved for 3.0 CE/Contact Hours for Nurses (all states), Certified Case Managers (CCM), Certified Rehabilitation Specialists (CRC), and Social Workers (NASW). Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed. Course will be updated or discontinued on or before March 31, 2024.
