Description
By the end of this course, learners will be able to: Define chronic pain and traditional pharmacological and interventional modalities for chronic pain management, recognize the use of opioids in chronic pain management and contributing factors relating to opioid use disorder, discuss the properties and evidence-based linkage in medical cannabis for pain management, discuss the benefits, side effects, risks and the individuals responsibilities in using medical cannabis.
This course is approved for 2 CE/Contact Hours to the following professions:
- Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states)
- Certified Case Managers (CCM)
- Certified Rehab Counselors (CRC)
- Social Workers (NASW)
- California Workers’ Comp Claims Adjusters (WC CA)
Participants must pass the final quiz with 80% or more and may re-take the quiz as often as needed. Course will be updated or discontinued on or before March 31, 2024.
