Description
This course provides an advanced overview of legal, clinical, and ethical issues associated with Medical Cannabis. This course provides an advanced overview of legal, clinical, and ethical issues associated with Medical Cannabis. Learners will be able to: explain the historical, current, and projected uses of medical cannabis; describe the position taken by federal, state, and other authoritative entities on medical cannabis use; list pharmacological uses of medical cannabis, and explain its absorption mechanisms; describe the prevalence and efficacy of medical cannabis use in the clinical setting; compare the risks and benefits associated with medical cannabis use; and examine possible employment, insurance, and ethical dilemmas stemming from use of medical cannabis and mechanisms for managing such dilemmas.
Course is approved for 5.0 CE/Contact Hours to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) in Florida.
Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed.
