By the end of this course, you will be able to: (1) Define pain and distinguish the differences between acute and chronic pain. (2) Recognize common signs and symptoms of pain in older adults. (3) Discuss the various types of drugs used for chronic pain management and problems associated with pain medications in the older adults. (4) Review guidelines and best practices for safe assistance of pain medications for older adults.

- Nursing Home Administrators (all states)
- Residential Care/Assisted Living Administrators (most states)
