Texas Board of Nursing Jurisprudence – 1.0 CE/Contact Hour

Description

This Texas Board of Nursing Jurisprudence course meets 1 contact hour of the continuing education requirements for nurses practicing in the state of Texas. By the end of this course, learners will be able to: describe the legislative purpose of the Texas Nursing Practice Act; recall the Texas Board of Nursing Mission Statement; define and compare the scope of nursing practice for registered nurses with licensed vocational nurses in Texas; list at least two standards of practice applicable to all nurses; and recall the definition of “professional boundaries” and its application in the use of social media.

Course is approved for 1.0 CE/Contact Hours to the following professions:

• Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states)

Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed. Course will be updated or discontinued on or before July 31, 2027.
