This course provides information about the prevalence of workplace bullying, and some of the common signs of bullying in the workplace. This course is especially pertinent to Assisted Living Administrators and Nursing Home Administrators who manage staff who may experience bullying in the workplace. At the end of this course, learners will better recognize bullying and know the steps to take to stop bullying in the workplace. Learners will achieve the following objectives: define workplace bullying and related terms; identify the prevalence of bullying among healthcare employees; recognize the factors in healthcare that perpetuate bullying; summarize interventions to decrease workplace bullying; and describe regulatory and legislative efforts to reduce bullying.
This program has been approved for Continuing Education for 1.5 total participant hours by NAB/NCERS—Approval #20220324-1.50-A73289-DL. This course applies to the following professions:
- Nursing Home Administrators (all states)
- Residential Care/Assisted Living Administrators (most states)
Learners must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed. Course will be updated or discontinued on or before July 31, 2023.
States that do not accept NAB/NCERS approval for assisted living include California, District of Columbia, Maryland, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Washington. It is your responsibility to verify that your state board will accept continuing education credits approved by NAB.
