Description
Course objectives include: 1) define childhood obesity and contributing factors, 2) identify health risks associated with childhood obesity, 3) identify lifestyle management strategies that help to prevent childhood overweight and obesity, 4) describe nutritional guidelines for various age groups, and 5) recognize healthcare and educational initiatives for prevention of childhood obesity.
This course is approved for 4.0 CE/Contact Hours for the following profession:
- Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states)
- Social Workers (NASW)
Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed. Course will be updated or discontinued on or before March 31, 2024.
