Description
By the end of this course, learners will be able to: define chronic pain and traditional pharmacological and interventional modalities for chronic pain management; recognize the use of opioids in chronic pain management and contributing factors relating to opioid use disorder; discuss the properties and evidence-based linkage in medical cannabis for pain management; and discuss the benefits, side effects, risks. and the individuals responsibilities in using medical cannabis.
This course is approved for 2.0 CE/Contact Hours to the following professions:
- Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states)
- Certified Case Managers (CCM)
- Certified Rehab Counselors (CRC)
- Social Workers (NASW)
- California Workers’ Comp Claims Adjusters (WC CA)
Participants must pass the final quiz with 80% or more and may re-take the quiz as often as needed. Course will be updated or discontinued on or before July 31, 2027.
