Transportation Safety When Caring for Aging Adults – 4.0 CE/Contact Hours

Description

By the end of this course, Nurses and California Workers’ Comp Claims Adjusters will know how to:

•  Define mobility and why safe transportation is important for aging adults.
• Recognize relevant laws and regulations in transportation and long-term care communities.
• Identify essential transportation safety, accessibility, and reliability practices, and appropriate types of vehicles.
• Apply appropriate outing assessment and safety skills in transferring individuals into vehicles.
• Describe the unique transportation safety consideration for older adults with dementia or other cognitive impairments.

This course is approved for 4.0 CE/Contact Hours to the following professions:

• Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states)
• Certified Case Managers (CCM)
• Certified Rehabilitation Counselors (CRC)
• Social Workers (NASW)
• CA Workers’ Comp Claims Adjusters

Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed. Course will be updated or discontinued on or before July 31, 2027.
