CareerSmart Learning is proud to share that our parent company, ISYS Solutions Inc., was honored at the California State University Fullerton (CSUF) Center for Family Business 2025 Hall of Fame Awards. ISYS was nominated in two categories—Outstanding Family Business Catalyst and Excellence in Social Impact—and received the award for Excellence in Social Impact.

The CSUF Center for Family Business serves as a hub of education and connection for family-run organizations across Southern California. ISYS, which began as a case management company over 27 years ago, has been part of this community for over a decade. The first and second generations of family leadership—including those behind CareerSmart Learning—have remained active members of the Center, frequently speaking at events and contributing to the growth of the family business ecosystem.

The keynote speaker at this year’s awards ceremony was Cindi Bigelow, CEO of Bigelow Tea, interviewed by Center Director Tim Schultz ahead of the award presentations.

Accepting the award on behalf of ISYS, Alysha Loumakis-Calderon, President and CEO, acknowledged the legacy and values passed down through generations:

“It is not lost on us that our generation of leadership only has the luxury of being able to innovate, invest in other endeavors, and give philanthropically because of the vision, risks, and discipline required by those that came before us.”

She expressed gratitude to her father, ISYS Founder and Chairman Chris Loumakis, for instilling a deep sense of civic and social responsibility, and to Pat Soldano, President of Family Enterprise USA, for nominating the company. She also recognized the CSUF Center and ISYS’s Charitable Activities Committee for building the company’s “Pay It Forward” program into the impactful effort it is today.

“Lastly, I want to thank all our employees,” she added, “because without their success, we would not be able to live by our values to ‘give generously’ or to pay forward our good fortune.”

From helping injured workers return to meaningful work, to empowering professionals with continuing education, to investing in causes like mental health, veteran homelessness, child welfare, disaster relief, and animal rescue—impact is at the heart of what we do.

A heartfelt thank-you to our colleagues across ISYS and CareerSmart, to the CSUF Center for Family Business, and to our broader community for making this honor possible.
