Description
This course is jointly offered with Alzheimer’s Greater Los Angeles, who is the joint provider. Objectives of this course include: identify the difference between age-related memory loss and cognitive impairment; differentiate between hallmark characteristics of Alzheimer’s Disease and other forms of dementia; identify cognitive, behavioral, and functional changes associated with the progression of Alzheimer’s Disease; and determine how to use a validated cognitive screening tool.
Course is approved for 1.0 CE/Contact Hour to the following professions:
- Nurses (RN, LVN, LPN) (all states)
- Certified Case Managers (CCM)
- Certified Rehab Counselors (CRC)
- Social Workers (NASW)
Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed. Course will be updated or discontinued on or before July 31, 2027.
